Friends House Organic Garden

Discover the Impacts & Benefits of Your Gifts to Friends House

Since Friends House allows gifts earmarked for particular funds and initiatives, contributors have the unique option to see the impact of their charity reflected in new buildings, programs, innovations to our green space or gardens, improvements to existing systems and more. This offers our benefactors and partners the wonderful opportunity to physically and visually experience the difference they’ve made in our residents’ lives.

Friends House believes in good stewardship – of those in our care, such as our residents and the land we inhabit, as well as those who care for us. Our donors, including our employees, families, volunteers freely offer their time, money, ideas and attention. As an organization founded on Quaker principles and open to all, we want you to see the effects your donations make and know how much we appreciate it. Donations help in so many ways. Some of our most recent projects include: improving accessibility in our resident-managed organic garden, curating  our forest trails, funding new transportation options for residents, and supporting new equipment in our medical center.  We thank you!!!

The care my sister received was AWESOME! She had a terminal illness and was kept clean, up out of bed, dressed and socially engaged as long as possible. The CNAs, nurses, caretakers were kind and caring … I would recommend to anyone living in the area to consider Friends House.

This is without a doubt one of the finest facilities a person could ask for. They have everything you need to exist. The staff goes out of their way to accommodate you. The restaurant facilities are outstanding. And maintenance is always there when needed.

Our family has had a mom, two aunts, and now another aunt living at Friends House in different stages of care. This is an amazing place, and the care is exceptional.

Living very far away, it is so comforting to know that my mother has the high-quality care of their skilled nursing facility, as well as the support of the community. I love to visit and always make new friends amongst the residents. So many interesting, engaged elders.

The grounds are lovely (fruit orchards), and it has great apartment living for independent living Low key, casual laid back living in a great location.
