Consider Dedicating Your Gift or Donation to One of Our Special Funds

Our current funding opportunities reflect our community’s goals and needs as well as our dedication to charitable causes, programs and initiatives. As a donor, you can choose to make an unrestricted gift, to be used wherever needed, or earmark your donation for a specific committee or fund.

Some of our ongoing special funding opportunities include:

  • Transportation Fund, which raises money for a Friends House commuter bus equipped with a chair lift as well as tram carts for resident mobility assistance around campus
  • Caring Fund, which provides direct financial assistance in the form of rental subsidies or one-time medical expenses (such as purchasing a hearing aids, a wheelchair, etc.) for residents who have outlived their savings and private insurance.
  • Garden and Grounds Fund, which is currently raising money from ADA accessibility features and renovations to our campus greenhouse so that all our residents may enjoy this part of the gardening.
  • Unrestricted Gifts, Friends House encourages donors to make unrestricted gifts, which allows us to be responsive to new community needs as they arise.

The care my sister received was AWESOME! She had a terminal illness and was kept clean, up out of bed, dressed and socially engaged as long as possible. The CNAs, nurses, caretakers were kind and caring … I would recommend to anyone living in the area to consider Friends House.

This is without a doubt one of the finest facilities a person could ask for. They have everything you need to exist. The staff goes out of their way to accommodate you. The restaurant facilities are outstanding. And maintenance is always there when needed.

Our family has had a mom, two aunts, and now another aunt living at Friends House in different stages of care. This is an amazing place, and the care is exceptional.

Living very far away, it is so comforting to know that my mother has the high-quality care of their skilled nursing facility, as well as the support of the community. I love to visit and always make new friends amongst the residents. So many interesting, engaged elders.

The grounds are lovely (fruit orchards), and it has great apartment living for independent living Low key, casual laid back living in a great location.
