THE LANGUAGE OF PAPER-CUTTING – A Display of Workshop Creations

The Language of Paper Cutting was a hands-on workshop where participants learned from internationally known guest artist Mr. Shanye Huang his techniques for painting and preparing rice paper and then cutting the paper into shapes that reveal his connection to nature and his optimism for human existence. The FH Arts Program is committed to making art a central part of life at Friends House. We believe that meaningful engagement in art activities is essential to health and well-being, especially as we age. Viewing art on display or participating in art workshops can stimulate the imagination and help build a strong sense of community.
