Here, residents’ lives are marked by opportunities for lifelong learning, social and cultural events, and meaningful contributions facilitated by resident-run committees and our dedicated staff. Friends House team members come to know residents and their families, and they become a vital part of an enriching community lifestyle. We have also introduced a Montessori Inspired Living program involving all our staff, residents, and resident families. Friends House has been awarded a Bronze Level facility credential from the Center for Applied Research in Dementia (CARD).
As a respected center of health and a trusted senior living resource for older adults around Montgomery County and beyond, Friends House is able to provide an excellent can [need to write this out] training program as well as exciting internship opportunities to students and volunteers. HANNA FEREDE
If you’ve ever seen a resident light up when a familiar face walks in, you’ve seen the kind of impact Hanna Ferede has at Friends
House. Hanna has been part of our community for 17 years as a CMA/GNA, bringing 20 years of experience and a steady, caring presence to each day.
Hanna’s work is all about helping residents feel supported while maintaining as much independence as possible. She provides personalized support with daily living needs and medication support, always leading with dignity and respect.
Hanna’s favorite part of the day is the people. She loves the familiar faces, the quick check-ins, and the moments that turn everyday care into real connection. Hanna also shares that she looks up to her father, and his example continues to shape how she shows up for residents and her team each day.
Her “why” is simple and heartfelt: caring for older adults has long been her passion, and she approaches each day with warmth and consistency. She’s guided by her favorite quote: “Be yourself, never give up, be at your best.”
What’s most fulfilling for Hanna? The relationships she builds with residents and their families, the kind that truly can feel like an extended family. She also appreciates how Friends House supports inclusion by connecting associates with resources that meet their needs, so everyone can feel supported.
Outside of work, Hanna enjoys cooking, gardening, traveling, and volunteering through school, church, and hospital service.
